D25(Detroit Twenty Five) is a collection of shows around the world commemorating the 25th anniversary of detroit Techno. Ours is going down at the forum in Sydney's entertainment quarter. Featuring Moodymann, Theo Parrish and Carl Craig!!!
So i've got some original detroit flavoured tunes to get warmed up for tonight!
First off is one of Kevin Saunderson's early releases on his on imprint KMS Records. Deep, Heavy, Jackin, Acid? could all explain this tune, however i feel that this track being from before all those genre defining terms im gonna call its dance 88'
"Strings of life" has be re moulded many times over for many variations of dance music. Here is the original by Derrick May as Rhythm is Rhythm from 87'. Strings of life was one of the first real techno tracks, enjoy it in its original form!!!
